Da Nang
In the middle of the 16th century, when Hoi An was a busy center of the south, Da Nang was only a small port for goods in transit and ship repair. It gradually developed into a commercial port replacing Hoi An in the early 18th century, when European shipbuilding was improved and large deep draught vessels could easily enter Da Nang Bay.
Quang Binh
Quang Binh is located 100 km north of DMZ, about 170km north of Hue and 488km south of Ha Noi. Quang Binh is home to the fame UNESCO Word Heritage of Phong Nha with the longest underground river in the world; Nhat Le blue sea water with powdery white sand beaches and the Ho Chi Minh Trails.
Perfume Pagoda
The Perfume Pagoda is actually a complex of pagodas built into mountain cliffs located 60 km (2 hour drive) southwest of Ha Noi. This area is the destination for Vietnamese Buddhist Pilgrims during Buddhist festival time which is from the 6th of the first lunar month through the 15th of the third lunar month. In the festival's time, Perfume Pagoda may receive up to 30, 000 visitors/day.
North East
The North East of Vietnam includes the provinces of Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Bac Can, Cao Bang, Lang Son and Quang Ninh. The North East of Vietnam is characterized by towering mountains, lakes, waterfalls, national parks and green forests.
Sapa
Sapa is 400 km (9 hour drive by car) north-west of Hanoi. This cloud-covered town is located at 1550 m above the sea level, cool all year round. There are many magnificent mountains including the peak of Indochina - Fansipan of 3143m elevation.
