My Tho
My Tho, the capital city of Tien Giang Province, is the closest destination of the Mekong Delta for the travelers from Ho Chi Minh City. The Upper Mekong River just dissects the region into myriad creeks and canals which are inhabited by different ethnic groups such as the Kinh, the Chinese, the Cham and the Khmer. My Tho and the vicinity can be daytripped from Sai Gon or combined with other surrounding areas of the Mekong Delta for 2-5 day tours.
Ho Chi Minh City
Ho Chi Minh City still called Saigon by the locals is the biggest city and the economic center of Vietnam. The city spreads its way on the banks of the Saigon River and has always been busy with trade since its formation. Gia Lai is located deep in the Central Highlands of Vietnam with Pleiku as the provincial capital town. Gia Lai is bordered to the north by Kon Tum Province, to the east by Binh Dinh and Phu Yen Provinces, to the south by Dak Lak Province and to the West by Cambodia.
Long Hai
Long Hai is a small town and fishing centre, about 120 km southeast of HCMC, 25 km northeast of Vung Tau City and 15 km southeast of Ba Ria City, a new administrative and commercial centre of the Province Ba Ria - Vung Tau. Long Hai has a long expanse of sandy beaches running the full length of the sleepy town covered in trees.
Quy Nhon
Quy Nhon is the capital city of Binh Dinh Province. The city is known to the travellers as having pristine strips of fine sandy beaches. The vicinity also offers ruins of the Cham Culture which existed in Central and South Central Region of Vietnam from 2nd century through the 15th century. Quy Nhon is a transit spot for the travellers heading between Nha Trang and Hoi An or Da Nang or between the coastal areas and the Central Highlands of Vietnam.
