The Red River, starting from Yunnan Province in China, travels its course through northwestern China, North Vietnam and rinse out into the East Vietnam Sea. The 1200km river carries along a large quantity of silt which helps to create the huge fertile delta in North Vietnam.
Thanks to the fertile land, the wet rice civilization started in the Red River Delta very early, over five thousand years ago. This helped to shape up the core of the Vietnamese culture nowadays...
Biking the Red River Delta is a one-day adventure tour to discover Vietnam slowly by bicycle. We'll be traveling through the hidden gems of Vietnam: the century-old temples and pagodas, the tranquil and leafy countryside, the traditional villages with authentic life style, unexpected and surprising encounters...

Itinerary
08:00 A.M Every Sunday
Leaving your hotel, we'll cycle through the busy street of Ha Noi making our way to the Red River dike. Once out of the city, we'll feel the freshness and breeze from the river and charge our way further into the countryside. There are green patches of banana plantations, vegetable farms, rice paddies that we'll be pedaling through.
We'll stop to discovery one of the most historic monuments of Vietnam and have time to cycle around the area. Then the we continue our adventure further into the Red River Delta with the inhabitants living in villages surrounded by rice fields and bamboo bushes. We'll stop to visit and chat with the locals of some villages who carry on with the century-old traditions of making handicrafts...
Our lunch is served in a secret farm surrounded by lakes, rice paddies and orchards. In the afternoon, we'll continue our expedition further to discover more of the Red River Delta with pagodas and idyllic countryside. Before the fresh beauty of North Vietnam takes too much out of you, we'll cycle back to the Red River and roll leisurely back to the city. Our cycling adventure concludes once everyone arrives back at your hotel.
