Ba Be National Park

Ba Be National Park is 270km north east of Hanoi. The whole area is of towering limestone mountains with evergreen forests alternated by flat low land. The elevation is from 150m to 1098m above sea level.

 

Bach Ma National Park

Bach Ma National Park is 60km south of Hue City, 730km south of Ha Noi and 1,000km north of Ho Chi Minh City (or Sai Gon). The national park is in the territory of Thua Thien Hue Province and the park includes the forests on the northern slope of the Hai Van (Sea Cloud) Pass.

Cuc Phuong National Park

Consecrated in 1962, Cuc Phuong is the oldest national park in Vietnam. Cuc Phuong, 120km south of Ha Noi and under the administration of Ninh Binh Province authority, spreads its land area of 22,200 hectares into the territory of Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa and Hoa Binh Provinces.

 

Ba Vi National Park

Ba Vi National Park is 60km from Ha Noi. It'd take you 40 minutes to leave the heavy traffic of Ha Noi behind then starts the idyllic scenery of the countryside. For the next 1 hour or so, you'll travel amid mountains and resort areas catering mostly to the Vietnamese tourists who just want to get away from the summer heat of Ha Noi. 

Dien Bien Phu

The French started attacking Vietnam in 1857 and managed to invade Sai Gon, southern Vietnam in 1858. From 1858 to 1865, the French marched northward and gradually invaded all of Vietnam. Along with its neighbors Laos and Cambodia, Vietnam was put into a French colony called Indochina.
