Vung Tau organizes tourism survey
Ba Ria - Vung Tau
province's Tourism Information and Promotion Centre in collaboration with
several travel companies based in the province, the specialized offices of
the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the districts Dat Do, Chau
Duc, Ba Ria town has organized a state survey in the traditional villages
and sightseeing destinations.
The team surveyed the Whale cemetery, Phuoc Hai fishing village in Dat Do
district, Hai Tho wine shop in Hoa Long commune, Ba Ria town and Bau Chinh
culture house in Chau Duc district. The survey was conducted in order to
make assessment on the status of infrastructure, landscapes, environment,
mode of operation, product quality and capabilities serving tourists, plan
to open for tourism and listening to aspirations of the business owners or
the representative of the destination management on the part of work to do
to get tourists.
Ba Ria - Vung Tau is a coastal province close to
Ho Chi Minh city, famous
with beautiful white sand beaches
Vung Tau attracts a great deal of tourists
from Ho Chi Minh city at weekends. Vung Tau is also famous with beautiful
sites such as Bao Dai white palace, Long Phuoc tunnels, Nghinh Phong cape,
Dinh Co temple, Chon Nguyen zen monastery (Monkey pagoda). Vung Tau was also
a military base in the American war, many war veterans from US, Australia
visit the former base every year.
The program is part of the tourism information and promotion in 2014 in
order to gather information, assess the status, service capacity and desire
of people communities living in the ruins, villages, sights and thus invest
funds, renovate and enhance the attractiveness to visitors, targeting at
using vestiges as a level to improve tourism. The survey will continue
through May with nearly 20 historical sites, traditional villages,
landscapes, facilities making special products... in the province.
