Located in Trieu Dong commune, Thieu Phong district, Bich La ancient village is one of the beautiful destinations attracting tourists from all over the world. Quang Tri old citadel
Not only a unique architectural work, Quang Tri ancient citadel is also a historical vestige, a tourist attraction with important cultural and historical value of the region. Quang Tri ancient citadel is located in Quang Tri town, about 2km north of National Highway 1A. The architecture of the citadel has many unique features, bringing the standard of a military citadel with a total circumference of about 2,080m, the wall is 4.29m high. According to historical records, Quang Tri ancient citadel was built during the reign of King Gia Long and was rebuilt with new bricks around 1837 under King Minh Mang.

The ancient citadel was built with the purpose of serving as a military citadel as well as an administrative headquarters for the Nguyen dynasty. In the years of the fierce war, the citadel also suffered a lot of destruction from artillery. Up to now, the citadel remains only the eastern gate and a few sections of the wall. The bridge is located at the intersection between National Highway 1A and Ben Hai River, in the area of Hien Luong village, Vinh Thanh commune, Vinh Linh district. Hien Luong Bridge was started construction in 1928. At first, the bridge was only built of wood and iron stakes for pedestrians to cross. In 1950, France repaired and built a solid bridge with reinforced concrete.

After the battle of Dien Bien Phu, the Geneva Agreement was signed. Accordingly, Vietnam was divided into 2 parts and the 17th parallel (Ben Hai river) was taken as a temporary military boundary. Also from here, Hien Luong Bridge became a landmark, a witness for a time when the North and South were divided during the war. Up to now, when the country is at peace, mountains and rivers were combined, Hien Luong Bridge and Ben Hai River were still lying peacefully to welcome tourists to visit, learn the history of the battle years. Vinh Moc tunnels

To get to the tunnels, visitors need to go in the direction of Vinh Moc village, Vinh Thach commune, Vinh Linh district. If you ride a motorbike, follow National Highway 1A to the North and then turn towards Cua Tung beach.

Vinh Moc tunnels is one of 114 large and small tunnels built in Vinh Linh district. In the days of intense war, Vinh Linh people built tunnels to protect local people as well as the fighting force. The work was completed and in 1966 with a dome-shaped structure, many connecting branches with a total of 13 doors. Each tunnel door is built with wooden columns to prevent collapsing.

Especially, Vinh Moc tunnels are disguised under a very peaceful scene. Above is a cool green bamboo forest with fresh and cool space creating a walking path for visitors. When walking down the tunnel, the space is still very cool thanks to the clever ventilation system, the ventilation wells are located in the small huts.
