During the National holiday (from 1 to 3 September), most tourist destinations across the country were crowded with a lot of tourists, causing many places to overloaded.

Typically the entertainment venues in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City such as Thu Le Park, Hoan Kiem Lake, West Lake Park, Bao Son Paradise, Baara Land entertainment complex; the fireworks in Ho Chi Minh City... In Bao Son paradise entertainment park, there were 200-300 people waiting to play boat to cross the falls. The ghost house, cable cars...were also in the same situation.
Head of sales department of Bao Son Paradise Park Vu Thuy Quynh said: preliminary statistics in two days from 1 to 2 September, the park welcomed up to 15,000 visitors, on September 2 alone were 10,000 visitors.

At the Hanoi Zoo, early in the morning there was a long queue to the parking lot. People's Committee of Ngoc Khanh Ward (Ba Dinh District) must arrange more spaces to send cars in the surrounding areas. Leaders of the Hanoi Zoo said that on average, about 30,000 to 40,000 visitors per day. Ho Tay Water Park received an average of 10,000-12,000 visitors a day. In all areas such as children play area, lake wave, lazy river, sliding area... were full of people.

Meanwhile, many other cities such as Da Nang, Nha Trang, Vung Tau, Thanh Hoa saw a rise in the number of visitors and Da Nang continued to be a favorite destination of many people. It was estimated that there were more than 150,000 visitors to Da Nang on this occasion, of which about 47,000 stayed in Da Nang, many hotels were fully booked from two to three months ago. According to Nguyen Anh Dung from Hanoi, to prepare for the holiday, his family booked flights and hotel room in Da Nang about 3 months ago. In Thanh Hoa, where not too far from Hanoi, the number of visitors increased slightly compared to the same period last year. Representatives of Anh Phuong hotel system in Hai Tien Resort (Thanh Hoa) said that the number of rooms was almost full capacity. This was also the final session of holiday season in the North.

In Hanoi, besides the choice of traditional destinations such as Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam, Thu Le Park, Thong Nhat Park, Bat Trang Pottery Village ..., many families come to tourist spots in the suburbs such as Bao Son Paradise Park; Thien Son - Suoi Nga tourist area, Ao Vua spring, Cultural Village of the Vietnamese ethnic groups ... The tourist attractions also welcomed many visitors from other provinces. Thanks to careful preparation of the administration, there was almost no congestion.

According to the Hanoi Tourism Department, during the three days of holidays, the city received 249,586 visitors, up nearly 9% over the same period last year; Of which, international tourists reached 36,856, an increase of 16%, domestic visitors reached 212,800 visitors, up 7.5%. Total revenue from tourists reached 645 billion, up 5% over the same period in 2017.
