The traditional festival Hoa Lu Ancient Capital was officially opened at the historical cultural Conservation Center of Hoa Lu capital, Ninh Binh province.

This year, the traditional festival of Hoa Lu ancient capital was held to celebrate 1046 years ( 968-2014), Dinh Bo Linh was crowned emperor, built the first feudal state of Vietnam.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Vu Van Huan, Chairman of Hoa Lu district, the head of the festival organizing committee, on behalf of the district leadership delivered speech opening the traditional festival Hoa Lu Ancient Capital 2014, reviewed heroic history and great merits of the Dinh and Le dynaties for the national construction and defense of the country. The capital of Hoa Lu existed 42 years with 3 dynasties Dinh - Tien Le - Ly has been associated with the names of the three wise emperor as King Dinh Tien Hoang, King Le Dai Hanh and King Ly Thai To

These heroic and traditional values of the ancient capital of Hoa Lu has forever been in the history of national construction and defense of the nation, still bold in the mind of the Vietnamese people today and handed down the generations. Organization of the traditional festival capital of Hoa Lu was the occasion to review traditional domestic building and defending the country of fathers, to show moral "Be grateful to the ancestors" of the people of Vietnam.

The festival is also an opportunity pay respects, deeply grateful for the tremendous work of father's generations, encourage the current the generation to continue to preserve and promote the long tradition of thousands of years of civilization and everlastingness of the capital of Hoa Lu.

The festival this year was held at Hoa Lu Ancient Capital land with diversified contents, full of traditional culture imbued with national identity. After opening drums , the cultural program themed "Ancient Hoa Lu - Spring Festival invitation" has attracted the attention of numerous tourists near and far to attend. After the opening ceremony, delegates and visitors and people all over the country attended the lantern festival.

Prior to that, opening ceremony of the temple in the early morning, the procession ceremony under the traditional rituals, offering incense to the heroes and martyrs at the historic cultural capital of Hoa Lu, and Hoa Lu Martyrs Monument. Other activities within festival such as playing volleyball, traditional wrestling, human chess, displaying ancient artifacts, art works exhibition was held, attracting numerous tourists and citizen participation. After the opening, the activities of the festival will continue until the end of the day.
